Position Overview:

CASE is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Culture & Heritage Program Coordinator to develop, implement and oversee cultural and heritage activities within our funded projects. This role is integral toadvancing CASE’s mission while achieving specific project objectives, which include:

  • Supporting the vitality of the English-speaking community (ESC),

  • Promoting the culture and heritage of the ESC through engaging projects and programs

  • Fostering a sense of belonging and civic engagement among ESC members,

  • Developing and strengthening partnerships,

  • Fostering collaboration with local organizations and stakeholders to maximize community impact,

  • Managing programs and resources effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funding requirements,

  • Ensuring high quality service delivery, upholding confidentiality and privacy standards and adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of project objectives and activities, ensuring strategic planning and execution to meet project goals.

  • Lead the successful delivery of cultural and heritage components by planning, implementing, and overseeing culture and heritage projects and programs as needed while collaborating with CASE staff.

  • Provide regular updates to the Executive Director on project progress and ensure timely completion of all required funder reports.

  • Work closely with the Communications Manager to effectively promote cultural and heritage events and initiatives.

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring expenditures align with allocated funding and coordinating with the Executive Director as necessary.

  • Prepare core funding applications and reports while identifying and obtaining complementary funding sources, including micro-grants, municipal funding, community radio, and private sponsorships.

  • Maintain and expand partnerships within the arts, culture, and heritage sectors to enhance project reach and engagement.

  • Represent and participate on behalf of CASE in regional and/or local tables.

  • Engage with community members and partners to assess and develop cultural and heritage activities that reflect the interests and needs of the ESC.

  • Design and implement cultural initiatives that foster connections between English- and Frenchspeaking communities, with a special emphasis on intergenerational engagement and support for vulnerable populations (seniors, families, newcomers, and LGBTQ+ individuals).

  • Leverage technology, including social media and video conferencing, to reduce isolation and enhance accessibility for vulnerable groups.

  • Establish and support local culture and heritage networks.

  • Collaborate with CASE team members to align activities with broader organizational objectives and offer support where needed.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Fluency in spoken French and English, with excellent written English and strong French writing skills; ability to translate materials from French to English.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Mauricie–Centre-du-Québec (MCQ) region and the local Englishspeaking community.

  • Creativity, flexibility and adaptability.

  • Willingness and strong ability to take initiative, problem solve and work independently.

  • Experience in community development, cultural event planning, and/or a background in history and heritage.

  • Proficiency in creating multimedia communication tools such as podcasts and videos.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with community members,organizational partners, and service providers.

  • Competence in using online communication tools, including zoom, email and video conferencing platforms.

  • Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining a high level of independence and initiative.

  • Discretion, sound judgment, and adherence to confidentiality and privacy standards.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid Work Arrangement: Remote work is available (home office setup with high-speed internet required), with 2 days per week in the office.

  • Occasional travel within the MCQ region is required.

  • Flexible work hours, including occasional evening and weekend meetings or events.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education and/or a combination of relevant skills and work experience in the arts, social services, or community development.

  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle.

Senior Wellness Coordinator & Liaison Agent

Position Overview:

CASE is seeking a bilingual (French and English) Community Coordinator to lead and coordinate our Senior Wellness and Adaptation Programs. This individual will play a key role in supporting community members, particularly seniors, by promoting wellness, health, and social engagement activities while also facilitating access to vital services in English. This position will be split, with approximately 75% of the role focusing on senior wellness initiatives and 25% on adaptation services.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Wellness Program Coordination (75% of the role):

  • Lead the planning, organization, and delivery of senior wellness activities, including physical health, cognitive stimulation, wellness education, and social-cultural events.

  • Coordinate community engagement activities such as crafts, physical activities, and health education sessions, both virtually and in-person.

  • Build relationships with local francophone senior organizations and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of wellness programs.

  • Promote social inclusion and combat isolation through regular community events, individual check-ins, and health-related presentations.

  • Develop and maintain a two-year plan for senior wellness activities and track the progress of these initiatives.

  • Assist with recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers and service providers for wellness programs.

  • Monitor participant feedback and make program adjustments as necessary.

Adaptation and Community Liaison (25% of the role):

  • Support community members in navigating the healthcare system by helping them access English-language services, resources, and activities.

  • Establish and maintain trusting relationships with the English-speaking community through regular outreach and support.

  • Assist community members in understanding their rights to access services in English and ensure they are informed about available programs and services.

  • Liaise with local healthcare providers including the CIUSSS to address service gaps and improve access for English-speaking residents.

  • Provide translation services when necessary and act as a bridge between the English-speaking community and local service providers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluent in both French and English (oral and written).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with community members and stakeholders.

  • Previous experience in community outreach, wellness program coordination, or health/social services is an asset.

  • Familiarity with the local health and social services landscape, particularly in the Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec regions.

  • Knowledge of the challenges faced by seniors, especially in relation to isolation and access to services.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, zoom and other relevant software tools.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in decision-making.

Work Environment:

  • This position is based at CASE’s office in Drummondville, and is a hybrid of in person and remote work.

  • Some travel within the Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec regions is required.

  • Flexible work schedule with occasional evening or weekend work.
